Willie Mae Glenn was born April 30, 1948, to the late Azell Woodson and late June Glenn. She enjoyed shopping, flowers, and a avid pet lover. She loved to fight with and for her family. As a child, Willie Mae accepted Christ and was baptized and nurtured at Sequell Missionary Baptist Church under Pastor Hall and Pastor Gaines. She later joined Reed’s Temple C.O.G.I.C. under the leadership of Elder David Reed. She remained a faithful member of Reed’s Temple until Jesus called her home on Tuesday, July 11, 2017.
Willie Mae loved her family and friends and continually demonstrated her affection and kindness to others through her daily life. Caring for her family and friends was an attribute she possessed and was demonstrated in her love for entertaining her family and friends.
Willie Mae preceded in death by her mother, father, sister, (Marzella), brother (Samuel), grandson (Tyrell), nephew (Mark), and niece (Chiquita). Her sprit will remain as she leaves to cherish her memory; her beloved daughter Yvette Glenn and two sons, Marshall Glenn and Hershel Thompson; two grandchildren Johnny Gant of Rondo, AR, D’Atre Glenn of Little Rock, AR; three great-grandchildren, Kyle Glenn, Keon Gant of Arkansas; eight sisters, Clander, Levada (Thomas), Verna, Carolyn, and Rosie of Chicago, IL; Mary (Tony) of Gary, IN, Pearl of Russellville, AR and Diane of California : a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
